- What you must do to stop depression?
Starting with a recent incident... On 14 June 2020, news of Sushant Singh Rajput committing suicide shattered the heart of many people. The reason for suicide is not clear but according to near ones of Sushant, he was depressed because of his unacceptance by other famous celebrities of the film industry A rising Bollywood celebrity who was a science scholar, a talented actor, had thousands of fans, was financially stable, the actor who made a film like "Chhichhore" which was against suicide and depression, but still, he chose the path of suicide.
What we did? We posted some lines about Sushant on our social media accounts or cursed the darker side of the film industry, some people even gave random phone numbers of helplines for helping you fight against your depression. But is it a solution for stopping depression? And the answer is "NO". The person is already gone there is no use of talking good about him now. There is no use of helpline numbers that you are providing because no one will not talk to a random stranger about their personal problems. In such cases, we need support from our friends and family. Isn't it?
Why Depression is a big problem?
- Depression is a big problem because today we have made our life very complex. Everyone wants to win, which is not possible all the time. Depression is mostly interconnected. Let us take an example- Consider yourself as a student and you get failed in an examination. Your parents will shout on you and get angry at your tuition teacher. In this case, your parents will be depressed by seeing your marks as they are investing money on your studies and you are not working hard, on the other hand, the tuition teacher will be depressed because of the fight with your parents and fear of loosing an income source. And at last, you will be depressed because your parents and your teachers are angry and unhappy with your exam results. So we can see a cycle of depression.

- We are confused between sadness and depression, hence, we are unable to find whether the person is sad or depressed. The best way to find is to check whether the person is often asking you for support. If yes! then consider it as depression because if a person is sad he/she can manage it on their own or by taking slight help but depression needs deep support to overcome it.
- The most important reason according to human psychology is that- humans like to stay away from negative things like depression, sadness, anxiety and hence when anyone asks for help, we like to ignore them unless they are our loved once.
What you must do to stop depression?
- Don't Ignore people - Please don't ignore if anyone is sharing their problems with you because we share our problems only with the people whom we trust. And if you ignore they might think that they are not important to you or no one is there to help them which might increase their depression.

- Stop Pressuring - Stop putting pressure on people for small things. Students are pressurized for good marks in an exam, employes are pressurized to complete their targets. Everyone is under some pressure. And people are obstructed to work with that pressure and if they fail we remove them from their jobs or we treat them very badly which is really depressing. So please stop putting mental pressure on people.

- Accept yourself - We often compare ourselves with other people and get depressed by seeing their qualities. For example- let us suppose you are a person with dark skin complexion and you see a fair person and start thinking that he/she is beautiful. After that, you will start comparing yourself with that particular person and get depressed by thinking that you are not beautiful. Please don't compare yourself with anyone. You are the best of yourself and no one has the right to demotivate you.
- Share your problems - When you share your problems with your loved ones like your parents or best friends, they will help you in finding a solution to that problem. Even if they can not find a solution they will mentally boost you up with positivity and help you bounce back from your depression.

- Live in a positive surrounding - If you ever feel depressed, take a break from your work and spend some good time with your family or friends. Try the things that you enjoy, like sports, dancing, singing, painting, reading books, meditation. Read our article- 6 Major ways to get Inspiration. It will help you overcome your depression.
